And while we are actually quite a ways away from the type of development you witnessed in C during your trip - we are thinking actively about how we'll be as parents as our daughter grows, and your experience is downright inspiring. I love this essay and remember how you totally blossomed the year after you broke off the engagement. It was wonderful to witness your growth and I’m so proud of the woman you’ve become. Life is all about growing and you always amaze me. BTW, I’ll remind you about C’s independence when she’s a teenager. Haha! 🥰
